Sitting on my feet, chillin with a repeat of the Big Bang Theory that I must have seen a half dozen times.  Somehow though, they never get stale.

Of course, it is an episode about sex.  How Penny and Leonard's first experience of the Big Bang was more like a Little Pfffffffff.  And tonight would be one of those pfffffff's outside of the television as well.

FLIP took me out tonight, which was really nice of him to do.  I'd originally planned to be an organized, do-gooder and be sure to do all my dishes in increments (it's really all I can do with the sink clogging up still), hula hoop for a half hour and test my child incessantly on bionomes.

However, Flip decided that he wanted to indulge his case of the f**k its and have us go out for bourbon and half price appetizers during happy hour.  Just being down the road I figured, hm, why not!

During our imbibe-fest at some point I called shot gun on the plans for the hour after our drinks were done.  I figured why not - we can squeeze in some goodwill before having to go home!

Twas not to be.  We left and he mentioned that it was kinda sorta too late....it's a weekday night, there are a million things to be tended to on either side.

Now I wasn't picturing that the jester would start us off with a round of jokes while we drank from the cauldron of absinthe.  I wasn't figuring that we'd be on a high bed of roses and feathers or that a junior high gym teacher would stand around with a stopwatch, carefully pushing us past the Official Quickie Zone.

But I did imagine that considering that we've shared the last couple of years figuring it all out in the most compromising of time, space and positioning, that ten minutes thrown our way would be par for the creative course.

It did not end up that way however.  The Family Feud red 'X' came up and I was sent home with  a gift basket of Not Tonight.  Ok, that's fine, but try not to agree to signing on the dotted line and then making a show of ripping up the contract 45 minutes later.

Ah well.  Girl Scout cookies, a cup of water, Big Bang Theory and thee.

I did drop two thin mints on the floor however, rendering them inedible.

So today, Beltane, May Day, the day of Fertility and New Beginnings, has been rather dry of fruition I suppose.

It is years away from the most lovely Beltane that I know of, the one that melts any rough edges from where my heart has been sloppily clipped.  1996.  Magic....dew, and the start to the most amazing journey that still to this day, cannot be topped.

Happy Beltane, many blessings and naked encounters to all who desire them!
