The Winds of Change

Adara Pictures, Images and Photos

Humanling and I have a craft fair to do tomorrow. I love doing them...but the prep work ahead of time is a part time job. I'm not even talking about making the jewelry that people actually spend their money on and wear from me. I'm talking about the Feeding of a vegetarian gluten free 9 year old Capricorn.

We went looking for gluten free english muffins last week at our local health food store (hot guys work there so it's like a bonus). There weren't any so I improvised with millet rolls in the freezer section. I figured we were going to make little pizzas (with soy cheese...the list goes on....someday I am going to invent a food group) so the sauce would cover up the millet roll if she doesn't like them.

But she loved them.

In fact, I've never seen her go crazy for a food item that I've made. I'm usually out wrecking her life with yet Another helping of GREEN veggies. Call me crazy, I believe in severe punishment with loved ones.

She's lucky tonight though. I'm not making time to do the veggies. She should be grateful that she'll have extra helpings tomorrow.

As I walk around everyone's minds in the various blogs (I love the online hood), I see a theme going on for many of us. It seems that along with America, we are tired of the status quo. We want to improve, to change something within us. For some it is excercise, maybe clutter, maybe yoga and meditation or shaving their foot more than once a month. Agreed!

The post that I wrote and lost TWICE on my birthday had exactly everything to do with that.

One thing at a time though. I need to learn how to incorporate these things in and figure out how often. To name a few - dry brushing to stimulate flow, deeper meditation, more yoga, making more jewelry, finding my purpose that doesn't involve corporate America. Oh....and the toughest one of all - giving up (Monday thru Thursday for now) the 2nd cup of java.

Sniff.

Sorry.

That's my favorite. And I know that I need to let it go. All that caffeine might be negating the wonderful greens that I eat. So all the work of washing, chopping and sauteeing is basically a wash up against 2 sugars, a dab of cinnamon, cream and the bean.

While I'm thinking about that one (and it might take months to think about), I think I need to start working on cleansing my chakras. Not just a dusting, but a deep cleansing like you'd get at the Chakra Salon.

It's hard to choose which one is the issue....they're all growing impatient little up in the air hands and yelling "Me! Me!!!"

I'm looking for a colonic of the chakras, if you will.

I suppose drinking more than a an ounce squared of water would be nice too. When I sneeze, sand storms are frequently reported in Connecticut.

And on that note, I must put little Humanling in bed so that she can bake and rise properly for the morning.

Why can't I just be a vampire? (A hot Ann Riceish vampire, not something out of Stephen King).
